You can't just extend the O2 sensor wires? Seems it would be a pretty simple thing to do.

The O2 sensors for the 09 pipe are 18mm and are designed to take the heat close to the header opening. The 2010 and up use a 12mm sensor and isn't designed to take the heat.

I remember throwing the flange bolts in loosely just to hold the pipe from falling out.
Mine was a PIA too.

Thanks for the clarification. Would be pretty easy to have a shop weld a couple 12mm bungs in the right place if the OP is willing to do so.

Got it done... It was screwed up nuts and luckily only one bolt had been cross threaded.

The bungs are up high, near the ports and I took the O2 sensors off completely as I have a V&H fuel pack that takes care of that issue.

Happy to report that the pipes are installed and sound awesome. Could use some more volume, but V&H says that these are their quietest pipes for touring. However, I'm curious if I modified the baffles or removed them completely (V&H doesn't sell alternate baffles for the monster ovals), if this will really affect performance. I would like more volume, but if it's at a major loss of performance, I'll deal with the situation as is...

Thanks for all of your help to those who offered insight!

If aligned properly you should have plenty of threads, I added the cones and installed double gaskets, one on each side of the cone and had plenty of thread once aligned.

Ended up with .025 exposed thread after nut was properly torqued.
