RE: Helmet question
Hey HD:
Here is a great review site for bike stuff (helmets)...and links to good articles.
http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...le-helmets.htm
As much as I'd like to go with the "cool" factor that some of the little beanies offer, I am just not down with that minimal protection (though I do ride without on a rare occasion).
I wear my same 'ol Arai Signet GT full face for highway and cold weather and I wear the Shoei ST-Cruz Half Helmet (still DOT and SNELL approved...FWIW) when I want the open face...it's the best I could find that still looked reasonably good...and SUPERB quality!

Have fun...

RE: Helmet question
If you go to the 3/4, get something that fits your head shape. Worst thing i have encountered is a helmet that's round. My head shape is oval. Arai makes oval shaped helmets. Most manufacturers make round. Try it on in the store, wear it for at least 5 min. Then decide if it's comfort and if it fits right. Even a helmet that is too small will feel okay for a couple of minutes. Take your time and get one that fits and is the same as your head shape.

RE: Helmet question
I go with a full face.
Came within 15 seconds of witnessing a cruiser slam into the side of an small SUV driven by a bimbo young blond that pulled out in front of them in Leesburg on Friday night. Both rider and passenger, husband and wife from W. Palm Beach were wearing full gear and helmets, they both survived but are banged up pretty good.
You never know and it is best to be protected so that we can all ride again.
