I have the same shocks, 13" 944's. I purchased them with the standard springs, but sent them back to have the HD's swapped in, and had the same great customer service, I only paid for shipping the one way, and that was back to Canada. Under Warranty!! Ya can't beat that!!
So I bought the Standard Monotubes as well. Great combination. The 944's do have a break in period though.

I have a chance to get a used set of 944's with only 500 miles on them for a pretty good deal. My only concern is that they the HD springs and I am only 175 lbs and my wife is 130 lbs. I ride solo 60-70 percent of the time. Does anyone have any idea if these would just be to harsh for me or would the lowest setting work?

i'm about 190#'s and don't mind the extra firmness of the HD's, especially now that their broke in. They were a little to firm or stiff at first, but now after about a year their very precise in handling. If you getting a good deal on them, go for it!!

Stang36, thanks for the input. I can get a set for $350. They were used for 500 miles and look brand new. Does this seem to be a good deal? Thanks again.

That seems like a very fair price, $910.00 plus 15% sales tax here in Canada. I just checked.
I only paid $650.00 Canadian 2 seasons ago from the USA. So that seems good!!

Sent back a pair of leaky 940 with mucho miles - they sent me a new pair of 944 - no charge - all I needed was the original receipt which I had from 2009.

I just got off the phone with Jay at Progressive and I have to say I am impressed. He asked me some questions and is sending new sleeves and agreed to put lighter springs on my 430's if I am still not happy. All for the cost of shipping. A++++ in my book.
