Default Aniticipated performance increase???

Anyone have an idea of what type of performance increase (roughly) I can expect from upgrading my stock pipes on my 2012 Road King (103 CI), to stage 1 air-kit, with stock head pipes (pre-catalytic converter/removed cat), Vance & Hines fuel pack, and adding V&H monster oval slip-ons? Everything else is stock...

I wouldn't expect much. 3-5 over the majority of the graph. Perhaps 7-10 at the peak increase.

That sounds about right. The main benifits to stage 1 is heat reduction and the addition of the tuner. It's not like swapping cams.

I agree, less heat is the main benefit. But I do have a little bit better grunt in 6th gear. I don't seem to shift down as much.

X4 to what's been said....

Stage 1 is part of the journey. It should come factory this way.

Also, have your converter removed or buy a head pipe with it already removed. Don't buy an '09 and earlier pipe, as O2s are not in the same location.

I purchased a head pipe from a guy in Michigan that does a nice job. $150 +/-

I don't know what you boys did wrong. I got rid of my cat and did a stage one and I can barely keep the front wheel on the ground.

Yeah same here. Had stage 1 on the FB. Custom map ran real cool. Then had second map done, and performance increase was amazing, but ran hotter.
All depends what you want.

Thanks guys.... Pretty much what I anticipated. Luckily, I have a set of head pipes for this set-up w/o catalytic converter. I think they're from a 2011, perhaps 2010. The heat from the current set-up is ridiculous when I ride anywhere there's traffic. The jewels are becoming too toasted. So, the heat reduction is almost as important as the sound and increased performance. Honestly the stock 103 is pretty powerful to start. But more in 6th would be awesome too.

I wrote down some numbers a few months ago when this topic came up.
Stock Hp ranged from 68 - 71 and torque was 82 - 89.
Stage 1 Hp was 81 - 90 and most were in the mid 80's, torque was 98 - 106.

You may be able to do a search and find the numbers
Good Luck

I'd take those numbers for sure! Thanks for the research/input.
