RE: Clutch slippage from synthetic oil?
I sure learn a lot from TexasRedneck, Where do i find this "energy star" rating?
Is it on the bottle? How do i find out what energy star rating my clutch is?
Been using SYN3 and i thought it was my mind playing tricks on me when i ride
two up that the clutch was not as responsive. thanks.

RE: Clutch slippage from synthetic oil?
This guy is ignrorant. Better take your ride to a different shop. At first glance I thought you were at a dealer. If your clutch slips you have oil mint for your car.,( Star rateing on the bottle)is for cars not bike, besure oil is jasorated;or your clutch is out of ajustment. Don't use hd's oil ,there are others that are better and cheaper. I have run amsoil for 25 years, never any problems.

RE: Clutch slippage from synthetic oil?
the Jap bikes have had this problem for a while using car oils.
there is a asian equivilent to the American Patroleum Institute, but for bikes. JASO
Kawi says SG rated oil WITH I repeat WITH a JASO MA rating. This oil will not muck up a wet clutch with the moly di sulfide and other friction modifiers they are ramming into oil to get CAFE mileage numbers. Mobil1 for bikes and Castrol for bikes (available at AutoZone) have these ratings
If you are having slippage issues you might want to make sure it has JASO MA certification. It can't hurt the Harley IMHO
