Default Seat Advice

After my first long ride on my 15RK, I know Im going to change the seat. I have a 1000 miler coming up.. Ill be riding 2-up and I want to buy a comfortable seat that wont interfere with my docking station or the stuff attached..

Suggestions?

Need more info. What don't you like about your stock seat? Do you want to sit forward or back? Higher or lower? Etc. The Harley Hammock seat gets Alot of good reviews. I have a Sundowner and it sits you higher and forward compared to my stock seat.

I had the Sundowner on my 11 RKC, loved that seat with the backrest.

The stock seat slides me forward and I find the padding thin and unsupportive. Looking for a great long hauler

Everyone is different, I like Mustangs, some like Corbin, it's a hard thing to find rt seat, and sometimes expensive

If you want a Harley seat go to the dealer, they should let you try different ones on your bike. If you want aftermarket, then Mustang is a great choice. I would also recommend the driver backrest.

Russell day long is what a lot of the iron butt guys like. Too ugly for me. I am a Corbin guy. Only your butt can pick one for you...

I really like my day-long. It's time consuming, but well worth it.

After going through this with my '09 I've vowed that the first thing I'm going to do on the next one is book an appointment and ride to Corbin. My brother did that on his BMW and I just road my buddies Goldwing who has one too. Those seats are great and the materials they use are top notch. They look like they belong on a $25k bike. They are hard as a rock but feel great and Corbin will customize the fit for you. Obviously the biggest issue for you is that your all the way across the country as Corbin is in California. After spending a ton of money having my stock seat re-foamed, adding an adjustable backrest etc I should have just gone to Corbin.

+1 On Sundowner seat, two previous Bikes had Sundowner seats and were good for the long haul.
