Weather is crazy, they got 6" hail in Hill City + had to plow. Was over 100 degrees when we went thru in the afternoon. Spearfish Cyn road great, Iron Mtn better, Needles Hwy unbelievable! Badlands awesome, WY breathtaking. Drove 3,700 miles in 7 days. 2,865 miles in truck pullin the trailer, 835 miles in three days on the bike. Next time, I'll fly out + rent a friggin bike. My **** is killin me!

Sturgis is much more fun before or after the rally when all of the idiots aren't there...

 

What HE said. That's very true. Especially this year, I expect. Gonna be a bit crowded... Lol I head up in 10 days. I'm rather apprehensive about the crowding. I camp in Spearfish, though, so I can get away from the craziness if need be; as much as one can get away from 1.2 million people. Ugh...

Great pics, OP! I'm jealous! Doesn't look like they've knocked a single rock off Crazy Horse in 13 years.... I only went there once, BEEN THERE DONE THAT! Lol rest of the years we just drive by.

Cool pics. Seen those myself in person many times. And understand why some are going early and then later. It is all about the ride. Will be heading to sturgis nxt week for the rally.

But will leave you what a wise *** biker buddy has said....going to sturgis early or later....."why not go to Daytona tomorrow, the daytona 500 isnt running tomorrow either"

 

Didn't go for "Sturgis", went for the surrounding rides. That's why I went early + very glad I did.

 

Awesome! Just got home from there yesterday...I'm sure we passed each other at some point. Seeing all of that nature never gets old!!!

 

Ah, memories of things to come... AGAIN! Leaving on 29th. Can't wait! 7 years and counting.

Riding is great out there and it will be this year too, even with the extra crowds. Get your Sturgis freak on early and then enjoy the scenery. Rinse and repeat annually.
