Default Help - Radio Display on 2010 RG is malfunctioning

The bike's a 2010 Road Glide with a stock HD XM radio. On the most recent couple of rides the display randomly blinks on and off and eventually goes off and doesn't come back on. The radio stays on and works perfectly, but nothing in the display.

Anyone had this happen? Whats the cause and more importantly, what's the fix?

Thanks!

I am going to be blunt. Vibration destroys these radios . It is not the display that is bad but bad connection on the board due to vibration.
Save your self a lot of problems pull the radio send it to Iron Cross.
They will take it a part fix it , then modify the board mount and reinforce it. They will make several other modification to it to make it a lot stronger.
It will cost you $250 plus shipping but when it returns it will be bullet proof.
I put a lot of miles on my Harleys and most have had the radio repaired under warranty witch is they just send you another repaired radio. After that fails and bike is out if warranty send it off to Iron cross and never worry again.
at least check them out

PS: the after market junk is no better down the road.

Appreciate the help and the quick replies.

Thanks for the link containing the instructions for the repair. Also, thanks for the Iron Cross Audio link. Will try the repair when I get some time. If I'm still having problems I'll send the radio off to Iron Cross.

I'm having the same issue with my '06 RG. I'm going to try the repair that bdtaylor posted. If it doesn't work, off to Iron Cross. Or thinking of buying a replacement. Not sure yet.
