Go to the dealer and have them show you a set of Heritage style bars. That is the only set I know of that will not require changing cables. That's what I did and they work for me as well.

It doesnt make sense to let cable length dictate your comfort on a bike.

Buy the bars that are most comfortable and the cables that are required.

It also looks bad. I've seen bikes that take this approach and the cables are all taught and stretched. Not good.

Besides, the stock cables are not attractive.

Road King Pullback/High bars 56180-08 are about 10" rise and the wires barely reach on my 2012. IDK if they are different on the newer bikes...

I'm pretty sure the Heritage for RK is what the 2014+ RK's come with. The actual 09+ Heritage bars are an option (56569-09 if I recall). Similar height to Heritage for RK with different grip angle (don't need to be pulled back to level grips). I've seen guys run mini apes from Wild 1, Santee, etc., prob 10". The guys at Wild 1 should be able to direct you.
I went with the '09 Heritage bars and have been pretty happy with them, I like them better than Heritage for RK. But shorter guys will probably favor the latter. After some home remodel stuff I'll do some 14/16 apes myself.

Most aftermarket bars that claim a 10" rise, that are also cut for Throttle By Wire, will be a direct fit on a 2015 Road King. Be careful not get sucked in and buy "Touring Bars" thinking your Road King is a touring bike. Thought IT IS a touring bike, it uses standard style handle bars, NOT the bars designed to go on touring bikes with the batwing fairing. Those are a completely different handlebar with completely different bends required to clear the fairing.
