Default Air Cleaner PlastiDip Mod

Man i'm really starting to dig this PlastiDip stuff. I've been wanting a way to change the stock 'ham can' while i'm saving up for a new intake system and I think this turned our great.

The PlastiDip Thread was what piqued my interest. So far I've don't the axle covers and air cleaner cover. This weekend i'm going to start doing the forks and cowbells. This stuff is awesome!

I've been makin black parts outa chrome parts for a couple years using that stuff. As long as it's an item that gets no wear, you're good. I've done a couple sets of mirrors, did my front driving lights etc etc. Nice thing is you can peel it right off if you don't like it.

Gunnysgt...how well does it hold up on the mirrors, when cleaning bugs off?

That stuff is pretty tough, never had any issues of cleanin stuff off. I wouldn't scrub it with a Scotchbright pad but simple cleaning is fine.

Well done. Might have to copy or imitate that.

Adding the "glossifier" on top of the color not only gives it a gloss but helps protect it. Takes a bit longer to dry then.
