Default 2015 street glide questions ok only 2

First I bought a day maker headlight. Bought the extra wiring. Now the stupid radio does not pick up fm. I think there not related but I'll ask someone smarter then me.
2 I have heard different points on this. I wanna put a head pipe on with out cats. Do I really need to reprogram the bike. I had engine guy say no it will run fine with out one but. It would run a lot better with one. Yes open air cleaner and new muffs. And I know the engine light will be on. And light is too because I cut the pos out.

Pull the fuse for your headlight & see if radio starts working again. IMO, the daymakers are not the issue, probably more likely something got disconnected when you installed them.

If you replace the air filter & mufflers, you SHOULD install a tuner. If you replace only one, you SHOULD be good.

Do you have a hidden antenna? Which daymaker do you have (reflector or standard)? Lots of threads about the reflector style and hidden antenna interference.

If you change to catless headers and already have high flow intake and slip ons, you should definitely get a tuner, or at least a stage one download, or fuel supplement device.

What are you talking about the engine light being on? Cut what POS out?

Check antenna connection, I have a Day Maker Reflector and I am running a shorty antenna 6" with no problems.

Yes you should purchase a tuner or get the bike tuned if making changes.
You should get a tuner before anything else.

Can you get away without, sure.
Would a tuner be better for the bike, absolutely.

there are different way to "reprogram"- ranging from $100 to $900.

each method has it's benefits.

I use the nightrider.com xieds on my 09- the $100 solution.

you can probably get good results with the stock air cleaner- it flows about 170 CFM,

I'd suggest you keep your warranty in force

Are you getting a bunch of static when you try to tune a station? If so there's a good chance the LED light is the cause as they do sometimes radio frequency interference. A ferrite filter should cure the problem.

1) Generic daymaker knock-offs are notorious for RFI (radio frequency interference).

2) Cat free headpipe will change exhaust flow, but will not set engine light unless you try to go w/o O2 sensors. With open air cleaner & open flow mufflers, you'll need either a Stage 1 program installed or will need a tuner.

3) And light is too because I cut the pos out. ?? Don't understand this comment ??
