Question Different Tires

Does it really make that much of a difference by having a different tread pattern on the front vs back. Thanks

I have a Michelin on the front and Dunlop on the rear and it has been no problem at all.

As long as you don't tell either one about the other they will never know.

For the type of riding we do ... doubtful. If you were road racing ... probably.

You would never know they were different if you didn't look. I've never had a issue!

No. I've done it before and never had a problem.

Might be OK, but is generally not advised.

In half a million miles there have been a couple of occasions when mixed brands have not worked well together for me, but that was a long time ago. If you have changed one tyre and find the bike doesn't handle to your liking then change the other one to the same brand. Be aware that not all aftermarket brands use stock air pressures, so check the website for correct recommended pressures.
