Just wanted to post what I paid for the 1000 mile check in case others want to see how it relates across the country.2.5 hours of labor, synthetic oil, and doing all the maintaince in the owners manual as well as making some other adjustmentsran $230. Pretty pleased... I have heard of over $400 in other parts of the country. Yikes!!!

Do you know for sure if they adjusted the belt, or just inspected it? I plan on doing the rest of the service myself, just not sure about the belt. Thanks

 

Adjusted both the belts and the brakes. not just inspected. I had a little too much play in the pedal compared to my Heritage. I actually photocopied the 1000 check in the owners manual to ensure that everything was completed.

 

Not sure, but your confused or your dealer is. Just what exactly did they "adjust" on your non-adjustable brakes???

 

I take mine in Wednesday night and leave it so they can have it "first thing" Thursday morning. I've been quoted around 400$

Thanks for the glimmer of light that it may be cheaper. I want to pay for quality work but dont beat me out of my wallet, you know what Im saying?

 

adjusting belt and breaks(bleed..ect) are only as needed? hu i just broke down and bought one of those belt gauges just to see if ive been wrong all these years. $19 at chicago

 

guess i shouldn't say this but... $0.00. my dealer throws that in as a freebie with every new bike sale.

Just had 1K mile service on Ultra.....3.38 hrs on the labor. Total was $302.74 which included switching to synthetic fluids.
