[Edited because it s a classic, apparently worth more]

Retail, about $11,400, trade in, about $8400, so I'd say about $9500-$10K private sale, depending on mileage and condition

I've got that exact bike except mine has 14000 miles on it. I've been kicking the idea of selling it to upgrade to an 09+ Ultra or Road Glide and the prices are anywhere from $9000 - 12000 depending on condition and mileage.

With the ultra low mileage on the one your looking at, it should be at the high end of price range. That said, it's basically a 06' new/old stock bike. You will most likely need new tires (about 7 yrs. is tops on the rubber), and as long as it doesn't leak I'm guessing the seals are ok. Go for it if it's what you want. :-)

How can anyone put only 800 miles on a 9 year old bike?

With so little miles I would be worried about the seals I once bought a 1985 Wide Glide in 1999 with 2500 miles on it And it was a real smoker Valve seals were shot from sitting so much

My 2004 only had 2500 miles on it when I bought it this year. Seals are fine, no leaks. The original owner started it every month, but had too many other expensive toys and didn't ride it much.

My guess would be an impulse buy at the time and then it basically sat in the garage all those years. Friend's brother in law bought a bike and is nervous to ride it so it just sits in his garage now.

Sitting that long is not good for them.

There WILL be lots of "little" repairs.

That being said, I'd say value should be near the top end of KBB.

Any one who does this should have their ***** surgically removed. I've seen it before though. Change all the fluids and adjust the belt and clutch. Get new tires and swap the fuel out for new.
