I'm a fan of Rinehart's 3 1/2". I can't tell you how the 4" will sound.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I've been wondering the same, and same as the op, don't want too loud...just a nice low rumble at idle & a bit of a bark when you get on it.

As another poster has mentioned...stock header without the cat (which is what I currently have) & stock slip ons is definitely louder and better.

I was thinking next step would be the catless header (which I have) and V&H Monster Rounds. Anyone running this setup...how's the sound?

I like my Rush Big Louies with 2.00" baffles. That I like how they currently sound isn't the important part. What matters is that one of the reasons I chose the Big Louies is because they have easily swappable baffles. I originally got them with 2.5" baffles and it was just too much volume with the catless head pipes. I ordered the 2.0" baffles and it was just right for me. So...look for something that allows you to tune the sound!

Jackpot 4" sounded good before. Now they do not seem much louder but the tone changed. Almost sounds like it chugging. Combination of pipes and cams I would guess. Want a deep tone without being obnoxious. Pro touring pipes are 85db at 2k rpm with the cap. So without they were a little loud for me.

I have heard good things about the Big Louies and I am very happy with the 2:1 Rush on the wifes Fatboy. It is hard to tell on the internet, are they a deep tone? How did they directly compare to the Jackpots?

That was one of my thoughts. Not sold on the look but they are ok. Was going to try them but that is a lot of money to dump just to try them. Already did that once
They offered to take them back with restock fee which I was going to do but then I would have to pay full retail for the new ones (will not honor sale price). Was hoping I could pass a decent deal on my Pro Touring off to someone so I can try the E-Series as someone has a used set for sale.
