My feet are always on mine unless Im using the rear brakes. I keep my left foot on the peg and shift with my boot heel. Up and down. Very comfy.

Yep, if you are close to a dealership, go in and have a look at your choices. Even if the parts guys have no clue from their experience, you can get a pretty good idea by studying them. And, I have thought as well about just having regular clamp mounts, but since I had already purchased the Long Angled ones, and mostly since I have adjusted them to death already, I just stick with them.

When I bought my bike, it had HD Billet Engine Guard mounts, like these:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...g-mounting-kit

With Rivco Pegs with heel rests, like these: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/564-312

The Rivco pegs are a good looking product, for $75 - I took them for a HD original item, until I searched the internet for a while to find out what they were. But they were too big and bulky for me. I had a pair of leftover passenger pegs from my old softail that I put on the engine guard mounts, instead.

If you buy the billet mounts and some pegs at HD, new, you are looking at $180-200 or more, but if you get them on Ebay you can get them for under $100, easily and probably under $50, depending on what you want and how long you spend shopping. I just looked on there and saw the same $100 billet mounts for $20-40. You can also get those Rivco anti-vibration pegs without the heel rests for $45.

Default plus one.

I do the same thing with the toe/foot board. PLUS ONE brother.

Here's my set up with the passenger pegs moved forward and recently upgraded billet mounts.

Also an unmounted pick of the basic HD mounts.

Talked to the guy at the dealer and ended up getting the short arm adjustable with streamliner pegs today. Got them set up for heels on boards and toes on highway pegs, took a quick ride and foot position feels pretty good, nice to have the option to adjust my feet a bit rather than the same spot on the floor boards. One concern, i imagine the bracket will scratch up the engine guard while adjusting the pegs?
