My owners manual says under regular service intervals
Engine oil and filter 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k, etc.
Primary chain case lubricant: 1k, 10k, 20k, etc.
Transmission lubricant: 1k, 20k, etc.

I wonder if all the threads lately, and over the years, about transmission bearings going bad, inner primary bearings going bad, compensators going bad, etc, correlates to not changing fluids for 10-20,000 miles in those components?

I doubt it since everyone changed all three holes at 5k.

Dear Buelligan666

I have a '05 RK. Your chart is for a 2011.....might be the cause of the misunderstanding.

I just change it all at 5000 miles. I always do it myself anyways. Easy to remember, and adds minimal cost to the oil bill. I've already got it on the lift, so what the hell.

I use Formula+ the primary, change it every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.

theoretically, synthetic oil never breaks down. So, technically, there is no need to change it. Ever! Theoretically speaking LOL
