Price on used street glide
What did you sell yours for? Or buy one for, want to get good price, but sell fairly quickly.
I have a 2010 FLHX with 35,000 miles on it, the wife has given me the greenlight to get a Rushmore Road Glide! .
I have already priced one out and worked a nice deal through a dealer in FL who works deals to sell bikes! (not one of those, MSRP,, take it or leave it dealers)
My bike,
Freshly changed fluids,
Rear tire EXCELLENT, (maybe 80% wear left)
Front, could use one the end of this year probably.
Screaming Eagle Night Stick muffler,
Mustache bars, (don't think they will fit my Road Glide)
4pt docking station
Passenger Back rest
I'm keeping my Mustang Solo seat, I believe it'll fit the Road Glide.
I was thinking 14k, or more,, am I out of line?
Be nice to me guys,, and I hope you can honestly help me on this!
(I'd love to have it gone in a couple weeks)

Probably 15-16K for the right buyer. 14K all day long.
For reference, I just traded my 09 SG in and the dealer gave 13.5. Had about the same miles and tons of crap on it. Of course this will vary dealer to dealer, state to state.
Anyway, good luck on your sale and enjoy the new bike when you get it.

Bikes only worth what someone will pay. Guy down the road has a 2007 Heritage with 187,000 mi and wants $11,900. I thought he was gonna punch me when i chuckled and asked him if the mileage was correct and he said yup 187,000. Just regularly maintained.no major repairs No thanks

You only chuckled when he said 11,000 with 187,000 miles? WOW,,, I'd have been on the ground rolling,,,,
I knew the answers would be all over the place, one got a bike with 12K in verifiable accessories, for 13k,, again, wow, (can't imagine putting that kind of money into my bike, just to loose it!)
My bike is in great condition, only a few scuffs which would be normal for the miles, (top of bags, (wife's shoes) and that's about it.
I'll probably try to work my best trade, if I can't do that, then ask 15k,,and negotiate.
Thanks, and hope I'm back soon with pics of a new RG!

The challenge is going to be the mileage on your bike. There are so many of them out there with really low mileage. Stats show that the average Harley is only ridden 1,800 mile a year. So you have to price it to compete with the low mileage bikes. What will the dealer give you on trade? In Illinois if you trade in a vehicle you only pay sales tax on the difference between the trade and the new bike which save some bucks.

Another good point Dharn, I mentioned above I should try to work my best deal at a dealer. Here in NC you only pay the difference on trade, BUT if you sell, then buy new you pay it all. Missouri, was great, you sell a car or bike within 180 days BEFORE OR AFTER you by the new vehicle, have a notarized bill of sale on price, send it to state with appropriate form and get a refund on the price you sold the truck, bike or car for. Have done it several times with my trucks,,
We'll see what the next few weeks bring, sales tax in NC isn't terrible. On vehicles there is no "Sales Tax" it's called a Highway Use tax, only 3%. Missouri was the full 7.25% sales tax you'd pay on a cart full of stuff at the department store!
So, it's kind of a wash I guess between my last two states,
