Sure is the IPB,and if you don't upgrade that compensator you'll be replacing many more times.

The compensator usually takes out the starter.
A jacked up primary chain tensioner or an overly tight belt take out the IPB.
For those that don't know, the IPB is actually pretty easy to replace and under a hundred dollars or so to change (the bearing/race/seal).
It just takes a few special tools or you can use a few work arounds that work just as well. I've changed quite a few just using hand tools, a freezer, etc.
Also have never used a new primary gasket kit (lucky) but those are not all the much really so why take the chance if you're doing it yourself.

Yeah; I did - or I should say the dealer did when the issues was fixed. While the SE compensator might help I'm not convinced that I wont have the issue again at some point. My repair was done at 45k and I now have 63k. We'll see as I get more miles.
