Default Broken Road King Custom saddlebag latch fix

Hello, my pal has a Custom and we discovered the saddlebag latches are broken. It is the part that appears to be molded in the lid and holds the cable for the opener. One bag a chunk is gone and the other bag it is cracked and will break off soon.

Is there a fix like maybe a alternative latch or a replacement me can mount to the lid?? A few holes and rivets would be better than a flopping lid.

I had an 07 RK Custom, I bough the lock set for that pair of saddlebags on my Bike.
The kit gets rid of to push button at the front of the bags and relocates everything to
the rear of the bags. Get Part number # 46287-04 - for $69.95 fallow the instructions.
I don't know if that will help you and your buddy, maybe it will.

OldPhat Thanks for the info I should have mentioned it has that already, the broken part is what is molded in the saddlebag lid and is used for both types.

I never thought of this !! Will have to look into it some. Years ago when into off road bikes I repaired a fender it looked nasty but it did work. Inside a bag it would not matter.
