hello to all in baggerland!!!!! I am a proud owner of a dyna street bob and did a bunch of upgrades and pretty much got it to how i like it, uh excuse me love it. My wife loves to ride with me and we both decided that we should be lookin for a longer bike for 2 up especially those long rides from point a to point bb. Its between 3 bikes in the wonderful land of Harley Davidson, Road King, Street Glide and a Softail Deluxe. Both the baggers Im lookin at have the potential to what Im lookin for in riding plus Ive seen a bunch done up the way I like. I like the idea of the hard bags and since I do ride to work everyday possible, I love to bring my lunch and carrying my back pack full of grub not to mention my coffee jug is more of an irritaion. I do have detachable bags, but on a dyna just doesnt look so good, so I only put those on only when the misses rides and we go on those long treks. The softail deluxe is also a beautiful bike also, but bagger it is not. I just love the way the rear swing arm looks and it also has potential to customize. This is where you guys come in on opinions. Id like to hear opinions on pros and cons of each bike. The street bob is my first bike ever and as I said love it, but me and my wife feel with her lovin to go 2 up, its time to go to a biggger bike. Any and all information would help. I am gettin ready to go test each individual bike as soon as possible. Thanks again for looking.

 

Having had a softail Heritage, Electra Glide Classic and now the Street Glide. I can truly say I love the Street Glide best for ride and performance hands down.

 

You've already got the wind in the face action on the Bob.

I vote for going as far from that bike as possible to change things up.

Ivote for the Street Glide. Nice other end of the spectrum choice.

P.S. I had an '05 Road King Classic that was totaled and replaced with the '06 SG shown below. If I had to replace my HD again I'd get another SG.

 

I have the RK police. Got it for a good price and love it for 2 up

 

Electra Glide Classic --- Turn it into a SG for a minimal amount for less than $500go to the HD webste and do a comparison. If you are taking the wife on a trip from A to BB it has some things you'll need.

You can't go wrong with either choice.

 

You left out the Road Glide!

 

I had the same decision to make a year ago. Really liked both. Rode both and the SG won me over.

My advice, test ride the bikes with your wife and decide which one both of you want.
