Default Stage 1 air cleaner...looking for input

With so many choices out there I'm looking for a new stage 1 air cleaner. I was looking for some feedback on what guys are happy with, either putting one behind the football or what might look decent on my bike. Looking forward to recommendations and pics.

I prefer the round open ones. Performance Machine, etc.

As Keith said - I think a simple chrome one like from PM would look classic on your bike

I run a Big Sucker Chrome with HD round cover and a PM servo cover...you'll need that if you're fly by wire

Greetings from SO-FLO,

I have the Performance Machine "SuperGas", and am quite happy with it. I think it looks beefy, yet classy, and is not seen EVERYWHERE like the "cone" style. Additionally, you have the ability to buy various faceplates with unique designs to help match aftermarket wheels and/or other accessories you may have on the bike. Although, I prefer the "blank mesh" face.

Whatever you do, please get rid of the football.

Ride Safe and Ride Often. Rubber Side Down, Over and Out.

I can't tell if you have a throttle by wire- IF you do the servo motor is ugly and the plug and wiring needs to be hidden. you can see the a cover used in an earlier post- to my eye ( just mine) that looks poor- as it interferes with the line of the pushrod...which has indicated a Harley big twin motor since 1936- it is a visual cue

a football cover hides the servo motor at zero cost and while it blocks more of the pushrod, it doesn;t interupt the line

2.) the Ness big sucker is about $120 on ebay from easternpc

that gets you higher flow than your motor can ever demand, a washable, reusable oiled filter media.
and an easy install- the throttle body brace stays in place.

Great looking bike by the way, I would try routing externally with a Free Flowing Air Cleaner like the Outlaw 587 or the 636v. These air cleaners will not allow all of the hot, dry, oily air to get back in. As engines preform better with cool dry air.
I believe the Outlaw 587 would look great on your bike as it is round and comes in many different styles.

Hope this helps you out
