My battery tender/charger has 6 and 12 volt options. (Deltran). If it charges at the 6v setting it will show yellow for, in my case, ever. Figured it out the next day. Switched to 12v and it went green very quickly.
Hmm, that's interesting. Don't think my Diehard Bat Tender has that option but will double check now. Regular battery charger has a 3 and 6 amp choice on it but is all 12 volt I'm fairly sure.

I never knew the tender even had a yellow light, never saw it on mine in the past 11 yrs. Just the red for charging and green for the charged or float status. The charger for my cordless drill and flashlight has a yellow light and that means the battery is either toast or too hot to charge if you were just using it constantly.
On an 2018 touring bike the fuse for the tender is in the fuse panel under left side cover. It is not in the cable like it was on other years. The tender cables became factory installed that way in 2017.
