Default TW777 in a SE 103 Stage 4?

I am installing the SE stage 4 kit on my 2012 SG but not liking the late close on the intake. Is the TW777 a better option? Local HD is saying its a better option.

It's a great cam, it's going to want 10.5+ on the compression.

If they just slap it on and download a map you will be somewhat disappointed no matter what camset they dump in.

Kit does have 10.5:1 pistons. Thanks for input!

The dealer has a reputable tuner that builds the maps as he tunes.

I would think 777s would be better (smoother & easier to tune) than the 259s in the kit but don't think peak numbers would be much different. If ya are going away from SE why not go all the way??

i don't recall seeing too many posts on any of the forums where anyone that went SE stage 4 used the 259 cams but instead wound up going a different route whether SE or other manufacturers.

I agree with Oldhippie..

I might not remember the differences in stage I-IV.... But a
'12 is already a 103..... Why not go bigger if you are already replacing Pistons..... Why not go 106 or 107?

mate put the 777 in a SE 103 Stge 4 wide glide and numbers were just over what other mates are getting with the 259e, there was no significant move of the curves to the left

if you like racing the 259e a great cam running strong to 6500-7000rpm,

there a guy here who has used a couple of tman varieties, think a 590 then to a 625? (but may of been with the earlier heads that came with kit, when the 260e came with it), apparently the 625 was well worth it
