Default Anyone blacked out/over their factory pinstripes on vivid black paint?

Pics would be nice..

Thinking about covering them with vivid black, but don't want it to look like I repaired someone scratching/keying the bike !

It's been awhile ago and not sure where it was, but the Denim Black with the red pin stripe combo, I saw an SG had the red restriped to a gloss black. Thought that was a cool combo. You could get a car dealer pin striper to do that.

You can pinstripe over it or airbrush over it and its still going to look like a cheap coverup. The only way to do it right is take it to a painter and respray the tank with base coat/clear coat.

I did a matte black pinstripe over the silver pinstripes and it looked great. I've since changed both fenders and fairing so it's now completely gone. A roll of pinstripe from your local auto parts store is only a couple bucks. Give it a try.
