Turtle Wax Chrome Polish worked when I melted my Frog Toggs and you don't need to polish when your done. I've tried Easy Off as well and I think Chrome Polish works a little better.

George, I got caught in the rain yesterday and my rain suit melted on my pipes. I tried wax to get it off and no luck. Do you know how to remove it?
Use extra fine steel wool and windex. If you hear the pipes a little it works real easy. But you can do it either way. Make sure it's extra fine and it won't scratch

Walmart sells it in the hardware section by the paint

all you need is a penny as others have mentioned. It will come right off and not scratch your chrome. Use a pre 1982 penny as they were still 95% copper up to that point. Softer than the chrome so no worries.

Try wrapping your legs in aluminum foil to shield from heat.......I have no idea if that will work but I'd sure get a good laugh seeing it....LOL
