Default Red or Amber rear turn signals?

What is the general consensus on red vs Amber rear turn signals?

Law allows red or Amber and if I'm not mistaken, must be red if used as running lights? (Rear not fronts)

Want to upgrade the rear lights and may use the running/ turn signal module for more lights in the rear.

I think amber is brighter on the rear. But, if your gonna plug in the run/turn module, don't get the one that makes the turn signals bright all the time. Can't remember who makes it, the previous owner on my 08 installed one and I ended up junking it. A riding bud had it and you could never tell when he was braking or not. He bought another HD that had one that keep the tail lamp on then when he braked all three light up, it was very noticeable when he was braking.

The question was:

"What is the general consensus on red vs Amber rear turn signals?"

My answer was accurate, He qualified the brake/turn combination with the correct information, so no need to pile on.

I went with Harley LED red turn signals in the rear. They also function as brake lights.

Amber looks foreign. Red is the american way. One of the first things I change.

Have always used a run/turn/brake module & changed them to RED.

Well, you said whatever you like, and I dont think thats true.

They must be yellow, unless they are also brake lights, in which case they must be red.
