Default Who and where to check out for rear wheel?

The rear wheel on my RKC is an issue (not the tire) so it will need to be replaced, I figure instead of replacing with same style wheel now would be the time to get something better for my use.

The rear wheel is barely visible so I really dont care for the Roland sands domino rear wheel at over $1000+ just because it would perfectly match the air cover I currently have. But I want to get away from the high number of spokes because checking the air is a big PITA. Hot exhaust, brake disk, and tiny opening between spokes to get the cap off are a bother.

I have been away from the aftermarket scene for some time so I am out of the loop on places to look for a aftermarket wheel. What are some good (quality and price) manufactures to consider and what are some good websites I can start looking thru.

Thanks in advance

I would do them both. Pick the one ya like for the front and get a matching rear. PM is always a good place to start but Hogpro is a buddy here and always seems ready to help.

As Joe suggests look at other models with a view to buying take-offs, or check out the H-D website - go to the Shop tab. SG wheels for example will fit at both ends and can be found s/h for very little - or nice shiny new chrome ones from H-D.

Wheels is our main business. That being said, a nice rear wheel with the stock front is pointless as you don't see much of the rear wheel.

Aftermarket wheels are costly, there is no way around that part of the equation and once you get the rear you will want the front.

Thanks for the hogpro suggestion. That is the type of info I was looking for as I have not dealt with them before and knew the forum could offer good suggestions. I did not mention it but I would be changing both wheels.

Chrome enforcers and yes even ultimate will get a look, thx

Placed an order with Paul at hogpro for a set of complete wheels front and rear. Going with contrast Valors and should get them later next week. Pics to follow when it happens. Good price, heck the tax savings was almost $300 by itself.

Thanks Hogpro...

19" front and 18" rear valor style wheels. Bike handles much lighter and quicker steering.
