Riding to from Cleburne (just SW of FW) to east TX (Tyler/Jacksonville/Nacogdoches area) this weekend just for a weekend wonder. No real destination so looking for suggestions of roads/towns/sites/cool beer joints. Looking for suggestions on place to stay the night - we like cheap and would normally tent camp but we just moved into our new house 2 weeks ago and have no desire to pack the bike that tight after hauling everything I own 15 miles down the road.

If you likeBBQ you should check out the Country Tavern on HWY 31between Tyler and Kilgore. It's just to the west of Kilgore. It's a bar/BBQ joint and is well known in East Texas fortheir ribs.

This may be a little farthereast then you're planning on heading but Jefferson (north of Marshall)has a number of bed and breakfasts, antigue shops, etc and it a popular weekend destination.I used tosee allot of bikes there on the weekends.
