Oem batwing fairing on road king
#11
Well done on the conversion.
I thought about this project also using the OEM fairing too as I felt the OEM was the best looking fairing since it is after all factory. After reviewing all the parts involved I felt it wasn't a project I wanted to pursue. Unless it was a personal goal or the bike had some sort of extreme sentimental value I would go get a SG. But that's just my .02 cents.
Good luck with the project!

You'll be using all Harley OEM equipment, inner (black) & lower (outside chrome piece below fairing) fairing bracket, stuff you'll find on ebay. Road King headlight nacelle will be coming off. New headlight will be all Street Glide equipment. Key switch stuff might have to be purchased new from HD. Street Glide handlebars will be needed as well. I had too much money already invested in the Road King when I decided to go with Street Glide conversion versus selling.
