Default Hayden M6-BT07 chain tensioner

Was wondering if anybody out that has replaced the original springs with Hayden's "new and improved" springs for the primary chain adjuster. I guess I fell off their radar screen for the "new" springs so that I can re-install their unit back in my Road Glide. Have the "new" springs cured the accelerated wear on the shoe.

They don't have good customer service. That's all I will say.

I don't know about that. When I heard they updated the springs, I called them and they sent me a new set. I haven't used them yet but they sent them to me free.

What did you need to provide to prove ownership? Receipt or anything or you just called and they sent a set?

I just called them and told them that I had bought one of their units last fall and now see there are different springs. How can I get a set? She got my address and sent a set. I don't recall having to prove anything.

What's the difference with the springs? Are they shorter/softer or did they do away with one of them?

They tweaked the shoe design and increased the strength of the springs. The original springs were too light.

I too called them up and asked about the different springs and the new shoe. They sent me shoes and springs for all three bikeshat I have. Their customer service has really been great for me.

I replaced the stock tensioner with the Hayden. I found the Hayden to be too tight. I replaced the Hayden with the Baker Attitude Adjuster. Never have to worry about an overly tight primary chain ever again. Happy. Done.
