Default Got my TC88 FLHT on the dyno

I was having some issues with the carb on my '06 FLHT and luckily I have access to an excellent tech locally (Tim @ Victoria HD). He installed and tuned a Dynojet kit which cured the problem and ran it on the dyno a few times to tweak it. Now my 40k mile motor has only the following upgrades: SE backplate, K&N air filter (under football), Supertrapp head pipes and V&H Monster Ovals. Temp was 93* F and humidity was 35%. Results: 73.23HP, 78.72 Torque. I was pretty impressed with those figures given the few "bolt on" upgrades. I can see a set of 255 cams in the future, but I want to do valves/lifters at the same time so I gotta save some $.

That will work!
When you do the cams and freshen up the heads do a mild port on them, slip on a .030 head gasket and something other than that 255 cam and you will likely be in the 80/90 hp/tq range

Put SE204 cams in instead, you will be much happier, I know from experience lol
And yes, while the heads are off have them street ported, do it all at the same time so you dont pay for labor twice doing the heads, doing the heads will give you a big boost.

That's on the list for sure. Regarding cams I was under the impression that the 255 would deliver the most torque in the 2500-4000 RPM range where I do most of my riding. Also, 75% of the time I'm 2-up.

255s are trash and don't fit an 88 anyway...

SE255 cams are not much more than stock, EPA cam, the SE204 cams are one of the best out there for all around riding, if they made them for gear drives I would have them in my bike, I got rid of the tensioners and went gear drive, never have to worry about them again, having to change them every 30k miles stinks, thats how long mine would last.

I highly recommend for an 88" TC that you consider the Andrews 21 or 26.

I have the 21's and the bike is an absolute torque beast. Love it.

if sticking with SE cams, for a tc88 or TC88 with 95 kit (tc95) I was a fan of the 203. The 204, I always thought was better when the TC88 was stroked (TC96) or bored and stroked (TC103). but that is just me and have no data to support that.
I believe the early CVOs that were 95ci had the 203 and when HD increased the CVOs to 103ci they then put the 204 in... memory sometimes foggy tho.
