Default 2012 or 2009 Road King Classic?

Are there real "significant" improvements of the 2012 RKC over the 2009?

'09 - '13 were basically the same... besides the fancy names for colors.

The 103 engine upgrade is worth going to the 2012, unless of course you are getting a really smoking deal on the 2009. You just might want to get ride of the cat in the had pipe which is a piece of cake.

The '12 may also have security system, ABS and cruise control depending on if it had that upgrade package. Not sure what came with an 09.

'12 has the SE compensator as well. The SE compensator and the 103 would be enough to move me to the '12.

Good luck

The PowerPak (103 motor, ABS and Security) and cruise came standard on the RKC in 2011. These were options in the RK

I'd go for the newer model.
