Default Folding heel shifter

Can someone with the Harley Folding Heel Shifter please tell me if it allows the peg to fold completely out of the way? In other words Parallel with the main shift shaft? Thanks

It Does Not completely fold horizontal. It would probably be hard to kick out if it did. It doesn't seem to be a problem the way it folds...

Had that on my 14 Limited. Left it in the position pictured above and worked fine. Gave me plenty of foot room and was still very useable in that position.

Thank You! Looks like it will give me the extra room I need. Does it allow any Harley peg to be installed? Thanks Again for the response and picture! Apprecitae it.

I hate mine, I've thought about removing mine completely shaft and all. I may try this though.

Anyone have a part # for it??

FWIW, there is also an extended shifter that HD sells. It puts the heel shifter back 2.25". It does not fold, but it does take any after market pedals that the standard heel shifter will take.

I have one of the HD folding units as well. If I had it to do over again, I would have screwed an acorn nut into the existing heel shaft. That would be more than enough to heel shift with.

I do not have the HD folding model, I have an aftermarket extended lever... and VTwin Goodies board extensions.
