The grand total was between $1000-1100 (I have the exact number at work). I used all harley parts except for the audio. That number is factoring in selling the RK specific parts too (windshield, headlight, street glide signals)$450 of the total was paint and labor for the inner & outer, FYI that paint is $108/pt for the base coat alone.

WOW. Not bad at all. I need to try and find a RG inner and outer I guess. Were you able to find a used one? I found the mounting bracket on ebay. of course I would need headlights / shroud, and all of the mounting hardware. PM me, if you happen to have a parts list.

Will do. I have the list at work. I have a handful of fasteners I didn't need too. If you take on the project I'd send them to you.

As an individual who has also completed a road, king to road glide conversation, word of caution about finding the fairing mounting bracket on ebay.
Be prepared to take the most significant risk in completing the conversation by purchasing this bracket used.
Commonly in any damage situation the bracket can be bent. Since this lines up all the fairings both inner and outer, can impact headlight aiming and how the bike handles in a riding situation due to how wind flows over and around the front end, the slightest bend will position the fairing to far left or right.
This cannot be determined until you actually mount the inner and have some sense of a center line.
In addition, the 10 up bracket positions the fairing to allow for vented lowers to be utilized vs the older non vent, hard to find road glide specific lower fairings.
Since i made this mistake and built my front fairing x 2. My suggestion is buy the 10 up bracket new. This allows for, use of lower fairings, a straight front end and a one time assembly.
The holes in the frame where the bracket mounts are the same for pre 09 and post 09 and the mounting bolts are the same as well. Cost of a new bracket thru a online dealer is fairly cheap.

Thanks Wreck! Didn't mean to high jack your thread. A parts list will be crucial if you are willing to share. I am going to start to find parts this week. This will be done to my bike. I've already done so much that it seems like the most logical, cost effective way for me to have my RG.
Thanks Bigsky! I will definitely take that route then.
