Just got done watching their videos on the website...

While I think that it is a cool design, they are misleading people a bit with what COULD be able to tow this trailer with a full dresser on it. Tongue weigh is not proportionate on this compared to most trailers. It will still pull fine, but a full dresser is going to have a higher tongue capacity than most 1 1/4" hitches.

Default HDJIM1158 stinger

bet i can unfold mine and have al the pins in place and ready to go in 5 minutes. as original poster said no foot boards on stinger. i have it mastered to use the tops of the fenders i have a video of me loading it some where. then it takes about 15-20 minutes to put the straps on to tie it down. I like to tie wrap the strap hooks to the attachments on the trailer just to make sure if a strap gets loose or u hit a really big bump u couldnt slow down for, that the hooks dont come off. Ive towed my bike to florida 3 times and once to tenn from niagara falls . has a pretty low center of gravity so it corner well keeping both wheels on the ground, drive the usual70-75 as posted on roads,, even doing the posted speeds going though mountains in va and wva , I have repacked the wheel bearing once then noticed it has a grease fitting on bearing cap u can pump grease into that will leak out other end of axle so u can never over stuff it, some will leak out the hole when axle gets hot. Im pretty happy with it, wil be towing my ultra to biketoberfest again this oct. i get about 29 mpg without the trailer and bike on my car, about 18-20 with bike on trailer was abit pricier to buy in can they were made in california at the time and think it cost me an extra 500 to get it sent here 2400 I think a trailer place in ontario makes then here now and the original manufacturer is still in the states. I see the web site for the guy i bought if off doesnt work anymore. but has a link to some trailer place in cambridge ont. i just looked at stinger site i posted it now has running boards on it. could do that to mine all bolted on

Very large $$ disparity. Personally, I just rent a trailer from U-haul for $20 a day......And if I had the space to OWN a trailer then I would just get one of these http://www.alumaklm.com/item/44-mc10...e-trailer.html And be able to use it for other stuff as well.

Proceed with CAUTION! Short trips maybe(?) but long trips, and with the condition of our Interstates; potholes that shake every thing, particularly trailers and motor homes, every which way but loose, is a concern. I hope you did your research. U-Haul has gotten into the bike trailer business, and their trailers are built to last.

I pulled my Ultra all over the country for two years. The fenders fell off the trailerr the second year. The company paid for the repair, and the trailer was out of warranty, they still backed their product. Aluma is a top-notch company and makes a great trailer. As always, you get what you pay for. I hope it works out for yeah…

I am looking for a good trailer with a FULL ramp for loading and that folded up/ stands up in the garage for storage. I don't want a Kendon and I don't want to spend 3K.

Be Safe JIM

Aluma and Droptail both have modles that fold up:

They are not cheap but hold the retail value for years... you can't go wrong with either one.

I have the storage room and my Aluma is the best bike trailer I've ever owned. By far the best and safest ramp in the business!
