I'm sure this question has been asked before but here goes..
I have an 08 road king and as of late the ride is terrible very ruff it's beating the hell out of me.
does any one have suggestions about how to make the ride better.
how much air pressure you running in the shocks? I run 35 psi in mine all the time. the 08 manual calls for 10 to 15 psi but at that pressure I bottom out a lot.
Tires good and aired properly, neck bearing adjusted properly, air shocks aired properly, fork fluid changed and a good weight oil, touring stabilizer of some sort, bushings good, motor mount good, engine mounts checked? Just to give you a start
Let us know how you get on. If you were once happy with the ride it should be possible to put things right, so you are happy once more. We have ways of making you even more happy, but that can wait until we find what has changed recently.
I'm gonna take it one step at a time. I bought the bike used so I'm not really sure what has beeen done to it before I got it... I did add the batwing and it was lowered in the rear but that was done 2 years ago. rode great then. I have neve had the oil in the front end changed and I think I had the air psi to low in the rear.. tires are good with good air pressure..
