this turned out really nice. i wasn't too keen on the looks when it started out but as it progressed, i started liking it. especially when it started to look bad a$$ from the front. really cool you were able to do it yourself and save a bunch of bucks. congrats on the completed project and new look.

That came out amazing!! Nice work!! I think I'm in agreement with a couple of the other guys. The bezel may look better all black. Just an opinion but I'm still blown away at how good it looks!!!

Thank for all the great feedback and complements to all!

I am very happy with the results and have a new appreciation for my bike. Even though it's the same old bike, I have an excitement again for it as if it were a new bike.

Looks great! Is it my imagination or did you just primer over the original paint then put on the green? No sanding or stripping. Wow.

Everything was sanded, the only parts I primed were the ones that I had to sand off pin stripes, tank badges and the fenders where I had to do body work. I don't think the paint would have lasted very long if the surfaces weren't prepped and sanded. The stock paint serves as a good base and does not need primed.
