Default will changing one rim size affect anything?

I want to change the front wheel on my 11 roadking to a 1 inch larger rim..will it mess with my antilock brakes..I heard somewhere that the antilock brakes "count" the revolutions between front and rear wheels to figure out if one is slipping etc..I figure it doesn't matter but I thought I would ask...

I pretty sure that I've seen Hogpro post something about this. I've also read that the anti-locks are affected above a certain size, but I can't remember the ratio.

also depends on what size tire u use, smaller sidewall = same diameter. as long as the overall did is close you'd be ok.

All the stock Harley dresser front wheels, 16", 17", 18" and 19" have very similar rolling diameters, due to each one having a lower sidewall profile than the next smallest. I would be surprised if that change would affect the ABS, as long as you have the correct ABS wheel bearing.

No it would not affect the ABS , when you start the bike you should see the ABS light flashing on the dash, it will flash until you reach about 3-5 miles per hour. What happens is it measures the speed of each wheel and synchronizes the computer each time you start the bike and start rolling, I would make sure the wheel you choose is for an ABS equipped bike

Went from the stock 17 to a CVO 19 on my 13 RGU with ABS and had no issues. Use a factory size tire and roll on.
