Fuel Pak 3 FP3 won't pair to my iPhone
#11
I haven't been able to pair mine the last few times I've tried. Just says it can't connect. I have an old android tablet laying round here somewhere and will give it a try. Mine is about 6 months old and I just found out that the warranty is 90 days. 90 day warranty? Are you serious. Lol.
Please let us know if the Android paired.

Make sure you have turned the Bluetooth off on your Infotainment system when trying to connect to the FP3. Your phone can only be connected to one Bluetooth device at a time. Once one connects it will block any other devices from connecting. So If the Infotainment happens to connect first you wont be able to connect to the FP3. I thought I had an issue until I figured this out.

Oddly enough, my Galaxy S5 stopped pairing with the FP3 during an autotune session yesterday. It was very frustrating to get home after riding like an ******* trying to fill cells and seeing a blank chart. I'm not sure why that would have happened other than the bike has bluetooth and maybe interfered in some way. But I had my Ipod paired with the bike, so I figured I was good. Next time I'll turn off the bluetooth on the bike.

I received my replacement FP3 today sent next day priority. Very cool of V&H. This one paired up right away to my iPhone 6. This confirms that tge Bluetooth IOS chip was defective in my first one.
I am going to be running autotune so I left the unit plugged I under the left cover.
I'll post my results.

Tomorrow I'll turn off that bluetooth and get in a good, long auto tuning session. I bought a handlebar mount for my phone and I'm looking forward to following the progress on the roll.

Did a long, varied ride today using auto tune as well as running my bluetooth Sennas which also connect to my phone. Cheryl and I wanted to talk so I didn't have a way to unpair the phone and talk to her, so we gave it a try. The FP3 stayed connected and I was able to monitor the cell population while riding. I would say I had about 75% of the cells turned to green by the end of the ride. At a gas station I finalized the flash and the bike runs pretty nicely. It is hard to say how nice mainly because after flashing the learned values we were on the interstate and it was very windy, making the ride kinda suck. I may take another short jaunt tonight just to enjoy the 78 degree weather and see how the bike feels on the street.
Of note - I immensely enjoyed the ability to monitor various data from my phone while riding. Fuel mileage, HP values, etc. Very cool technology.
