Default Cylinder mounted oil pressure gauge

Does anyone have one of these on there "non-fairing" models? How about anyone with an 07?

I had one on my '99 RKC. My Dad has one on his Fatboy as well. If I had to do it over, I would spring for the Ness version with the nice gauge cup. The Harley one looks cheap IMO.

completely agree with the prior post. I mounted the HD version on a 07 RKC and it was junk. Plastic tube etc. Purchased a Arlen Ness unit and it was a piece of art. Excellent quality, braided hose, liquid filled gauge. Easy to mount worked great

Here is a photo of one mounted on my Road King. It is the Harley oil pressure gauge in a two gauge hole bracket for the Legend Air Ride System air pressure gauge. I agree that the Harley gauge bracket and plastic line looks cheap. I think you can get the Legend one hole bracket (and gauge cup)and mount the Harley gauge in it. Stainless steel oil lines are readily available.

Fast Eddie,

Where did you get the gauge bracket? I've been looking for something like that, with two small gauge holes.

I got it from Legend. I don't think tuey offer it in their catalog anymore but they may have some laying around. That's howI got mine. Two. One for the Faboy and one for the Road King. They may have some left but you have to call and ask. I don't know their phone number but it is on their website.

Personally, I'd save my $$ on the cylinder mounted gauge - it becomes about the same temperature as your oil or maybe even higher and, even with clothing on, you'll find your leg getting burnt. Go for the gauges mounted above the nacelle.

If you do go with the HD oil guage make sure you get the Russell braided oil line for it. I had the crumby little plastic line blow off on the highway and soaked me with a quart of oil before I had to pull off the side of the highway. I bought the Russell line from Dennis Kirk online store. I do not notice the gauge housing heating up my leg though.

If you still want the head mounted gauge, I have one really cheap.

The one thing I did notice is when I place my foot on my highway pegs, my thigh lays directly where the head-mounted gauge would sit, so I'm not sure if the head-mounted gauges would work. They might get in my way.

Ted, I like gauges on the nacelle. I really like HD's mini gauge setup. However, I have a Custom, so I would have to change out my nacelle to the standard style (without the small chrome deflector). Decisions, decisions.
