I run a cruise mate II, same idea, half the money, about 50 bucks plus install, or get the jig and borrow a drill and tap from a friend. www.cruise-mate.com

I tried something like that, I didn't like it at all. Too hard to operate. What I've done until I finally get off my wallet and buy the cruise control from HD is install a JC Whitney cruise control. I'd put the link in but it would make the entire thread wide.

Select motorcycles, and then type in cruise control, I got the $33 one. I really like it, easy install, and easy to operate with my thumb. It is good enough to give your right hand a break now and then. It will work until the real install.

Get a Throttlerocker for $10. It gets you out of the habit of the death grip on the throttle. Once you break the habit you might find that your right hand doesn't get so sore.

Gotta go with cruise control. Once you've had it, you'll never go back!
