Talking Digital Fuel Gauge

I have a 2006 Road King Classic, does anyone know if I can put on a new gauge cluster that shows how many miles I have left in the tank. I know my 2012 Dyna has this feature and I really like this over trying to guess just how far I can push the bike before trying to find a place for gas?

the thing is...all of our bikes use a float to show "fuel level"...and the range display is an estimate based on the float.

which is known to be inaccurate.

the smart thing to do is the same thing riders have always done...know your typical MPG, reset the odometer when filling up...look in the tank...rock the bike to hear the fuel slosh.

pt 2.) this applies to all your efi vehicles:

the fuel pump is cooled by the gas in the tank...over heating shortens it's life.
always keep a 1/4 tank or more in the tank....and your fuel pump will last longer

if HD was awesome then the ECM would calculate fuel consumption via the fuel pressure and injector pulse width...this would give a near 100% accurate figure on consumption and the remaining fuel and range woul dbe more accurate
