2009 96" performance help

Granted, I already had a tuner. But I lucked into a set of new take off 103" jugs and pistons for 150bucks. Then a set of woods 555 cams that had about 5k on them for 200. A set of cam bearings and pushrods from Fuel moto for like 100. Had an indy go over everything real good, Installed with all HD gaskets. Even had him replace my tensioner shoes and extra clutch spring. I came in at just under a grand. It all depends on how long you wanna wait and your budget. I kept my eye on a couple different places until I found a good deal and jumped. Had my dyno guy run it through. 101hp/ 112tq and pulls like a freight train between about 1800-3k.

If you asked for the previous owners name I can understand that. If you just asked for the upgrade history because as a new owner you'd like to know, I don't understand.
You can do it over the phone. Call any dealer, ask for service and tell them that you just bought the bike and would like to know if it has upgraded cams (because you think it has only been serviced at Dealerships.) Don't ask for names, just upgrades. All they'll need is your VIN.

I am guessing another $8hundo for labor????
Humm if done in stages maybe!!!!!
Obviously these are parts only..
You can either tackle it yourself, as you noted it isn't overly complicated or do halve of it and with a shop eating up the rest of your $1000 in labor.
Bottom line is the 96" is pretty low compression and the exhaust you have is a hold back performance wise. Bumping up to 103-107" allows a slight compression boost along with the cubes. Add in a cam to take advantage of this a bit more and you should break 100HP/TQ

Think about what you said about RPM' and true duals. You have a 800lb without any added gear in the saddle bags and tour-pak, bike ridden by a 285 lb rider with a 190 lb passenger, that's 1,275 lbs to get rolling. That bike needs all the bottom end torque it can get, true duals are not the way to get it.
I'm surprised it took so many post before motolocopat brought up the exhaust. People get all caught up on this true dual kick, IMO true duals is a chick thing, we all know chicks worry about what they wear. A 2-1-2 without a catalytic converter with a good set of slip ons is far superior performance wise than true duals, a good 2.1 is even better.
