Default Bought used 12" Premium adjustables.. 185lb no sag at 0 clicks. On bumps hear NOISE!

I like the ride.. much firmer for my aggressive style. But after install I spent 2 hrs gong over bike to see if busted spring or a loose part on bike from this noise. Rode 100 miles and I hear a noise as if maybe a shock was loose or something else when I hit a decent bump but all is tight. I'm 185lb and set at zero clicks... no sag. And only thing I can come up with is I got a used busted shock or because I'm not getting sag it's the shock topping out maybe?? Anyone else in my weight range have this sound? Its worse at lower speeds and worse on more of the hard dips than the small bumps. Haven't ridden them 2 up yet. Help???

I thought it might be the "topping out of the shocks" just didn't know if It was a broken shock or all lighter guys are hearing the noise.

I had the same problem on my Road King. I weigh 185 lbs. I heard the "new" 2015 premium shocks have a softer spring. The rear shocks on my new Dyna are waaaaay nicer.

I weigh 180lbs. I had the same problem with these shocks, I could not get them to work, I have a 2013 Street Glide.
No sag whatsoever, I stood on my bike and jumped up and down on the seat, still no movement.
I took them off, put the shock with the adjuster **** in a hydraulic press sitting on a scale, it took 345 pounds before the shock started to move.
They might be ok for riding 2 up, but not for my skinny butt.
I bought some Ohlins, now when I sit on my bike I have sag. Much better

I think the clicking you hear might be the spring hitting the body of the shock.I had a clicking in mine,I wrapped a couple cable tyes around one of the coils,180 degrees apart so it couldn't slap the body, click gone.I think it was the shock on the right.

Dansflhti can you help explain a little more because that's possibly my solution.... until I suppose I buy a set with lighter springs like some 944 with softer spring. Took for another short ride and seems like the shocks may be extending all the way and there's no compression on the spring so its smacking the housing around it. Do you have any pictures or could you explain a little more in detail where you put the zip ties? I'm semi following you I'm just not 100%.
