Default If you had your pick - new Touring

So I'm torn - Road King, Street Glide, or Road Glide.

Of course in a perfect world, I'd have all three -- But the world isn't perfect...

So why would you pick one versus the other?

I have a Street Glide. 120R - 2009.

I like the look and the wind cutting of the Road Glide

The Road King is open, and tunes [better then even the u/g tunes of Hawg Wired] can be had via the SENA or iPhone directly...

I know I like the Road King tank. I also must have cruise control. [favorite feature...]

I don't need a new motorcycle. I kinda would like one...

I got 5 bikes.

When last shopping in 2010, I spent a morning with the Demo Fleet.

i rode in quick succession:

CVO SG
FLHTK
RG Ultra

for me:
CVO- covered in geegaws and cost too much- 12" rear suspension not gonna make it on the road.

FLHTK having had earlier batwing bikes, comfy...could do with a couple of tweaks

RG Ultra- didn;t like the wind experience and figure rain would be no fun

FLHR- I like radio...I have other open bikes- I want some fairings for 8 or 10 hour days

what i did...bought a used 2009 FLHTC...( saved about $10K over a new FLHTK) spent maybe $1500 in changes and happy for 4.5 years

IF I wanted a new bike, I'd get an Ultra as the Classic is no more.

Mike

I had my pick of Street Glide or Road King. (Ok yeah, the RK was about 5k less but thats beside the point) I just liked the looks of the Road King better, but was very tempted with the newer SG's toys.

Default Road Glide

I got my 15 Road Glide Special in February & couldn't be happier. Still have my Heritage but there is no comparison in ride, handling and comfort. Always wanted a RG but I'm glad I waited on the RGS. Atlanta HD had several RGS on sale for $20,000 so it was a no haggling deal.

i myself like the ultra limited, the only thing i dont like about the road glides or the street glides is that everyone, puts them on such a high pedestal, and you see them everywhere..... dont get me wrong im not bashing the bikes or the riders, i just see them every day, more than any other bike

I've had two Road Kings and a Street Glide. I prefer the Road King.

I agree with others. You missed the cream of the crop in your poll choices.

I had my choice of anything, I chose the Limited. I added a TP detach kit and have a SG seat to swap. Best of both worlds.
