I have been known to flash set with a hair dryer.... I can lay 6 coats in about 30 minutes, then let set at least overnight before dicking with it.
My fuel door is needing to be redone, the edge is loosening up for some reason, maybe I'll video the removal/redip process....
Thanks for all the tips. Video would be cool!

Does the Plasti-dip have any problems with heat? Or would using it on heat shields or parts that get hot be fine?

I haven't done anything "hot"... nor will I.
I don't want to see what kind of mess it makes when it melts....

The manufacturer claims Plasti-Dip will hold up to 312 degrees.

How hot do you reckon your heat shields and exhaust get?
I'll not try it.

When the Plasti Dip gets hot it tends to turn into a stickier substance and is harder to peel off.. When i painted my heat shields I sanded them down, applied high temp primer, and then 4-5 coats of high temp paint
