I only dipped the fender skirt, which I like, but will stop there as I am not going for a blacked out look but a balance of black and chrome.

Extensions by Mutazu.

Emblems were left on with some crafty tape work. This was a temporary fix to disguise the new fender and extensions until I color matched them. I used regular spray cans bought at Lowes.

I did a ton of experimenting and the best results for me were to warm the cans before spraying, start with a full heavy coat, follow up with 5 more full heavy coats with about 10-15 minutes tack times, still wet. This method always laid a smooth finish, was very durable and was extremely easy to remove due to the amount of layers.

When you get a scratch or ding, take some acetone on your finger, rub in a circular motion to smooth out the chip, let dry, spray a few coats on the area and it will blend in perfectly. Pretty forgiving and versatile stuff.

I start with 2 very light coats, and don't let fully dry. I like to lay the next while there is still some tack.

The third through 6th or 7th coat is laid on thicker.

I have been known to flash set with a hair dryer.... I can lay 6 coats in about 30 minutes, then let set at least overnight before dicking with it.

My fuel door is needing to be redone, the edge is loosening up for some reason, maybe I'll video the removal/redip process....
