Default tour pak speaker questions

I want to add the speaker pods and speakers to the king tourpak. Its an 09 SG. It came with J&M's in the fairing. Anyone know of some reasonable brands and price of the pods themselves or do I gotta get from Harley? I don't need the voume control. I will prob get J&M's for the pods. Do I need to get an amp?

Do you ride 2 up often? If not, don't waste your money on rear speaker pods. I added the rear speakers w/o amp, can't hear them, then add the CVO amp under the tour pak, still couldn't hear them. I know they work cause when I turn off the radio, the front amp (on top of radio in fairing, shuts off ~ 2 sec. before the rear amp, that's the only time I hear the rear speakers.

I do wear helmets, 1/2 lid in summer, FF in winter and open highway.

BTW, this is what I use:

Polk MM series front and rear. Front powered by an Old SoundStream D60II and rear powered by CVO amp mounted under tour pak.

If you want to do it once and be done with it add the Biketronics ultimate amp combo, 7.1 speakers for the front and 7.1 speakers and pods in the rear powered by the BT 4180 amp. You WILL hear your rear speakers with this set up!

I know Hogtunes ( @ $180.00 )makes a rear speaker pod kit ... I'm pretty sure that there is a "knock off" company too

Here ya go.

just my 2 cents but i would consider getting saddlebag lid with speakers and ditch the tourpack speakers idea.
