Hey guys last year I couldn't get my brake light to turn off so I put a shim in there where the nipple actauter broke off..is there a better fix other than totally replacing or is it just as easy to replace whole front brake assembly?thx

 

Just replace the actuator, not real real easy but not too expensive to do.

Pre-14, it's about a $12.50 part.

14-later, it's about a $250.00 part.

 

Drill a small hole in the middle of the actuator and install a small sheet metal screw that's a quarter to three eights of an inch long.don't drill very far into actuator just enough to get some threads for the screw.done this plenty times and works fine.of course u have to remove the lever.you will have to adjust the screw to get the right amount of lever play to make brake light to work.easier for me to do it than describe how to do it.good luck.
